Purchasing Agent, Industrial Metal Products (ATA Steel Corp - Bridgeport, CT)

Research and evaluate international suppliers of industrial metal materials including rebar, wire rods, wire mesh,
and galvanized wire based on price, quality, selection, availability, and distribution capabilities. Prepare purchase
orders for international shipments of metal materials to the United States. Review contracts with suppliers for
compliance. Review bid proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to prepare reports for
management. Monitor shipments for timely deliveries, and resolve problems with suppliers and shipping. Data
entry for Sale and purchasing operations. Track market conditions affecting price levels, supply, and demand.

Requirements: 

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business or a related field + 2 years of previous experience as Purchasing Agent working with industrial metal products and international markets.
